The celebration of all things Pokémon continues with brands in the food industry. Mondelez International has partnered with the franchise to debut OREO cookies. Customers who purchase a package of cookies will get a surprise. The limited edition themed sandwich cookies feature 16 Pokémon character designs. However not all of the designs are in a single package. Each package contains a random assortment of Pokémon characters including a rare Pokémon.
These Oreo cookies have caused quiet a stir. Fans of the franchise have collected cookies. Some packages have shown up on sites such as eBay. According to an article on NPR, a rare Mew cookie sold for thousands of dollars online.
This goes to shows Pokémon nostalgia still lives on. If you are worried there won’t be any cookies left, have no fear. The packages are still being sold in stores and through retailers.
